Refund & Warranty Policy

1. Scope & Applicability

This policy applies to all B2B transactions conducted through Turkish Transformer, including sales of distribution transformers, power transformers, accessories, and related services. These general terms may be complemented or replaced by specific contract agreements signed with the buyer.

2. Order Cancellation

• All orders are considered final and binding once written confirmation or advance payment is received.

• Due to the engineered-to-order nature of most transformers, orders cannot be cancelled once production has commenced.

• Turkish Transformer reserves the right to charge up to 100% of the order value for cancelled or abandoned projects after production has started.

• Pre-production cancellations may be considered only in writing and at Turkish Transformer’s sole discretion, subject to an administrative fee of at least 20% of the total order value.

3. Returns Policy

Transformers and related equipment may not be returned under any circumstances except under the conditions listed below:

3.1 Return Eligibility

A return will be accepted only if all of the following conditions are met:

1. The product demonstrates objective manufacturing defects, such as:

   • Failure to pass a certified FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) or

   • Failure during SAT (Site Acceptance Test), conducted under agreed conditions, or

   • Visible physical damage upon delivery that is formally documented and reported within 72 hours

2. The unit has not been installed, modified, opened, or operated under electrical load.

3. A detailed report (including photos, test results, and transportation records) is submitted by the customer within 7 calendar days of delivery.

4. Turkish Transformer provides written return authorization with a Return Authorization Number (RAN).

3.2 Exclusions

No returns will be accepted under the following conditions:

• Minor cosmetic imperfections that do not affect function

• Damage caused during installation, mishandling, or improper storage

• Defects resulting from incorrect voltage, overloading, short-circuit, or force majeure

• Customer-requested modifications, third-party alterations, or improper testing

• Any product manufactured according to customer-provided drawings, specifications, or standards

4. Warranty Terms

Turkish Transformer provides a limited warranty for a period of 24 months from shipment date, unless otherwise agreed in a signed contract.

Warranty covers only:

• Proven defects in material or workmanship that occur under normal operating conditions and within manufacturer-specified parameters

• Units that fail electrical or mechanical performance per IEC/ANSI standards under documented test conditions

Warranty does not cover:

• Improper installation or connection

• Operation outside specified temperature, humidity, or voltage ranges

• Lack of maintenance or maintenance by unauthorized parties

• Operational wear & tear or cosmetic degradation

• Any indirect or consequential losses

Remedies

If a warranty claim is accepted, Turkish Transformer may, at its sole discretion:

• Provide a replacement transformer

• Repair the product

• Offer partial refund if replacement is not feasible

Turkish Transformer is not liable for removal, reinstallation, or logistical costs unless otherwise agreed.

5. Limitation of Liability

Under no circumstances shall Turkish Transformer be held liable for:

• Consequential, incidental, or indirect damages

• Loss of profits, business interruption, or project delays

• Liability exceeding the original invoiced value of the defective unit

6. Governing Law

All refund and warranty matters are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey. Disputes shall be resolved by Turkish courts unless explicitly overridden by a separate written contract.
